Friends often ask how to get connected in their genre or how to find good music or meet folks.. One word: Participation. Attend! Be a part of these communities by showing up. The organizations and the associations need fans, friends, and performers! Share your love of music and get involved.
For musicians, there are always talented people in the scene, but there are not enough that participate and show up in organizations that are struggling to simply recognize local music.
With that in mind, I couldn’t possibly recommend more that you support ALL of these organizations. … go to the events, buy the ticket or membership and be part of it. These organizations are run by folks who do it for the love!
I am so proud of my friends Rudy Grant, Rocky [Hoery], and the board of the CCMHOF for what they have created. I am also proud of Michael, Rachelle and the board of the MWCMA for introducing the MWCMA awards festival it’s coming November 5-8 and it’s gonna be a banger too! Hell, yeah I will see you there! I’ll see you at all the events I can from all these organizations. I’m always surprised at that folks I see there that I know from around the music scene at large. Thank you, CCMHOF. Thank you, MWCMA, the Colorado country music scene is stronger than it’s EVER been.
