Channel flipping on Friday and found our own Hazel Miller co-hosting with Claudia Garafalo on KUSA/Channel 9’s Colorado & Company celebrating Colorado musicians, especially Colorado Singers/Songwriters! Hazel got to sing two songs: “All of Me”, written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons in 1931, and the Charlie Brown Christmas Song with music by Vince Guaraldi and lyrics by Lee Mendelson.

One of the above segments featured some of the local festivals including Denver Deluxe Festival and Music & Art Fest.
Hazel told an ironic story about how, many years ago, she wanted to audition for some special shows at the Brown Palace Hotel but they wouldn’t give her a chance until Channel 9 featured her in a segment and a Brown Palace VIP happened to see it and invited Hazel to perform!
Hazel will be appearing at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder on December 1, 2023, and again at the Soiled Dove Underground for their annual Holiday Show.

Ms. Miller, an accomplished performer who has been playing in Colorado for almost four decades, was honored on the floor of the Colorado State Senate in March 2023, and on June 10th, 2023, she was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. She has shared the stage with notable names such as Herbie Hancock, Michael McDonald, Al Green, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters, among others.
