Colorado Sound Studios Closing Its Doors After 50 Years: Farewell This Saturday, May 9th
Colorado Sound Studios: After nearly 50 years of making music and memories, Colorado Sound Studios will be closing its doors as our owner Kevin enters a well-deserved retirement. We’re grateful to the artists, engineers, and collaborators who have been part of this journey.
Join us this Saturday, May 9th, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for a special open house sale featuring select pieces from Studio W, including sound treatment, DMX lighting, outboard gear, and more.
More details can be found on our website or at the link in our bio. Scroll for memories
John Macy: Congrats to Kevin Clock and Colorado Sound Studios for fifty years of killer work. I have known Kevin since the Delaware St days in the ‘70’s and have done many memorable projects there, including this Gladys Knight and the Pips record in the mid 80’s that won a Grammy. Sad to see it end but so happy for your new relaxed journey of retirement. Congrats, pal!!!
Mark Oblinger: You both “set the bar” for every recording studio in this area – and anywhere actually. GREAT engineers and just plain great humans to boot! I was so honored anytime I got to work with you. Hopefully they’ll be more opportunities in the future! Congrats Kevin!
Mark Diamond: Hard to believe there will no longer be a Colorado Sound Recording Studio. So many great experiences there! Of course, Kevin, I wish you the very best!
Barb Dye: Kevin (and Colorado Sound) was a great supporter of COMBO (Colorado Music Business Organization) for many years. He helped to introduce us to a lot of musicians. We are going to miss him and the other engineers (so many!) but we wish him the best in his “retirement” years!
