Congratulations|

Denver has a rich musical legacy. From the iconic John Denver and Firefall to birthing the original members of Earth Wind and Fire, Denver’s past has allowed the future of Denver music to prosper in a major way. In recent years, acts like Nathaniel Rateliff, GRiZ and OneRepublic have called The Mile High City home. The music experts at 303 Magazine have compiled a list of the Denver stars of today, artists on the rise and the local bands on our radar — together, they could make this city the next major music mecca.

Stars of Today
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats
Nathaniel Rateliff grew up in rural Missouri and learned to play the drums when he was just seven years old and started writing his own music a few years after that. When he was 18 he found his way out to Denver for missionary work, but continued to pursue his music and released his first album in 2010 titled “In Memory of Loss.” It wasn’t until 2015 with the release of his smash hit “S.O.B,” that he hit the national stage in a major way. With the Night Sweats, his incredible band, and his newest album, “Tearing At the Seams,” Rateliff and company have become one of Denver’s chief musical exports.
