On May 9, Denver-based artist Shadow Animal is releasing a new EP, Another Night. The four song EP explores a diverse musical landscape. It was recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Andrew Berlin and was mastered by Grammy winner Jason Livermore. Another Night is the first EP from the Dreams We Build project and its songs explore the intersection of hope and hardship. Dreams We Build will be released in October 2025.
Shadow Animal is the newest music project of multi-instrumentalist Christopher Ryan. Shadow Animal creates music that walks the line between indie-rock and singer-songwriter, integrating strong visuals and spoken word into live performances. Christopher’s music has been played on radio stations worldwide. In 2019, he was selected as an Associate Artist in Residence by Grammy Award winner Larry Mitchell at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. In 2021 Christopher took second place in the COMBO Songwriting Contest. In 2022 he was a Showcase Finalist in the Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest. In 2025 his music video for Distant Diamonds took second place at the Castle Rock Film Festival.
