By Melissa Ruggieri, USA Today | Bring on the divas. The ballot of 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees is topped by female icons – most as first-time candidates – along with classic rock superstars, hip-hop pioneers, and iconic funk and soul musicians.
The inductees will be announced in late April, with the ceremony returning to Cleveland this fall and again streaming live on Disney+.
To be eligible for a nomination, the artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of nomination.

This is the first-time ballot appearance for Cher, Carey, Sade, O’Connor, Foreigner, Frampton, Kool & The Gang, Kravitz, Oasis and Osbourne, who is already inducted as a member of Black Sabbath, which received its coronation in 2006.

Cher recently told Kelly Clarkson on her talk show that she feels the Rock Hall snubbed her for many years.
“You know what, I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars,” she told Clarkson. “I’m never going to change my mind.”
