COMBO member Cass writes: We’re super excited about this new album and the response to it nationally. It’s called MIDNIGHT IN A BOTTLE. Like the last two albums, it was co-written by me and Taylor Scott and produced by Taylor at Far & Away Studios in Boulder. The album has done really well on the U.S. radio charts and was #1 R&B Album in the U.S. for 8 weeks (currently it is still #3 R&B Album in the U.S. on Roots Music Report for radio).
On this album, we really wanted to do something that would resonate with our multiple audiences, so the album is diverse with funk, soul, R&B, and rock. As always, the lyrics are especially important to me, so each song has its own story. Some phenomenal musicians are featured as guests on this record: Lyle Divinski (formerly of the Motet), Caton Sollenberger, Eric Luba, Michael Chiesa, Brian Claxton, James Dunstan, Taylor Scott, Jon Wirtz, Jiho Han, Eric Imbrosciano and Will Trask – the list goes on. I’m really grateful to have so many friends in music who add their brilliance to the music and change the flavors of our songs in just the right way.
The Band held an Album Release Party last Friday at the Velvet Elk Lounge in Boulder but you can pick up your copy at the Elevation Music Fest in Alma, CO as the Cass Clayton Band is performing there! And if you happen to be out of state, the band goes to Omaha for “In The Market For Blues” fest! Lots of good stuff happening!!
