Welcome to Alex Nemelka, our new keyboard/piano instructor! Alex joined the SOR Denver team last month, following the departure of Jake Harrison to North Carolina. She has a degree in music from CU Denver, and has been playing piano from a very young age. Alex also has quite a bit of experience with the Reason and Ableton software platforms, as well as sound design and electronic music production.
We are also sad to report that two of our other instructors will be leaving School of Rock Denver within the next few weeks: Woody Potter, who has been with us almost since the school opened in 2008, and Travis Owens, who joined our staff this last winter, will both be leaving to spend time with their families and work on other projects. Both will continue to work as substitute instructors as they are available, and we wish them all the best with their new projects!
