By Bailey Richards, People mag | Bret Michaels will be taking the rest of the year off as he continues to recover from his kidney stone surgeries. Doctors decided that Michaels needs additional recovery time “immediately” after his first show back from a weeks-long break on Aug. 21
The 63-year-old Poison frontman took the stage in Sugar Hill, Ga. on Friday, Aug. 21 for his first show back after a series of postponements in the wake of the recent procedures. The return was short-lived, however, as the musician announced the following morning that he will be taking off the remainder of the year, citing doctors’ orders.
