Greetings Blues Enthusiasts! It is my pleasure to welcome you to the July edition of our Mile High Blues Society newsletter. First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to our cause. Your passion for the blues is what drives us forward, and it’s truly inspiring to see the impact we can make when we come together as a community.
June seemed to fly! We gave away tickets to see Sue Foley and we manned a booth at the Edgewater Music Festival, where we signed up a few new members and had a great time. In July we are sponsoring a benefit for MusicCares being held by Blues Roots Denver and CMDance on July 28th. Please come out and support this event. We are also giving away two pairs of tickets to current member for the Southern Avenue concert at Cervantes Masterpiece.
Our plans are progressing for our IBC Blues challenge coming up and we have 2 dates so far. On Sunday, August 18, Rockabillies will be hosting our first preliminary event. We have also scheduled Sunday September 29 at Wheelz either for our second preliminary or the finals. More to come!
