Behemoth! is a 2026 American drama film written and directed by Tony Gilroy. It stars Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, and Will Arnett. A gifted cellist returns home to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road. Music, which has been the constant, all-consuming river of his life, swells into an adventure that will change him forever.
The film premiered at the 64th New York Film Festival on October 2, 2026, and received positive reviews from critics for Pascal’s performance, Gilroy’s direction, and the musical score but received criticism for its writing and structure. It is scheduled to be released in the United States by Searchlight Pictures on December 4, 2026.
David Acord appears in person to receive the 2026 Excellence in Sound Design award, followed by a post-screening Q&A.
