Photo: One of the stolen guitars | Colorado Musicians -> Lisa Eggerton : These three guitars were stolen from my 20 year old son at the Hampton Inn in Pueblo on Aug 15th. He’s absolutely crushed, as these belonged to his dad. His dad died on July 1st so this is all really raw for us. The Bit O’ Honey one was hand painted by my other son and his dad right before he passed. Bit O’ Honey was his dad’s favorite candy.
- The Squire Telecaster has a maple neck and the Bit O’ Honey candy logo
- Fender Stratocaster – rosewood fingerboard, tortoise pickguard, blue metallic finish
- Les Paul Standard Gold Top Bound rosewood neck, cream binding
I’m just a sad mom trying desperately to help my grieving son — even finding one would be amazing. These were the only things he kept of his dads and I just can’t believe they’re all gone.
We’ve been scanning Marketplace, Craigslist and Ebay every day. I have been calling pawn shops within 90 miles of Pueblo. I called guitar shops in Pueblo and CO Springs.
- I hired a detective to go the businesses near the hotel and ask around.
- My son filed a police report but the police have bigger crimes to tackle than this one.
We’re on our own to find them.
So far no luck. My son’s friend Oli Hoffman is more social media savvy than I am and said he’ll post for me. If you have suggestions for us on where to post or look, we’re all ears. I’m absolutely heartbroken for my boy. These guitars are truly irreplaceable.
Any info will be treated as 100% confidential. I just want them back.
