Photo: Kodi Lee album cover | By Danny New, Denver Channel 7 ABC | It’s not every day that you come downstairs and discover that your son is a savant. Jude Nyame Yie Kofie, 11, surprised his father one morning when he heard his son playing the keyboards as if he had taken lessons for years.
“I was here watching the news when I heard him play something,” said his father, Isaiah, who was a drummer in his home country of Ghana. “So I grabbed my phone, went down there, and was like, ‘Dude, play that again.'”
In about a year’s time, Jude is now the lead keyboardist at their church, a one-man wedding band, and a viral YouTube and TikTok star.

Jude reminds us of Kodi Lee, the amazing singer/pianist, who won America’s Got Talent in 2019!
Kodi Taehyun Lee (born July 7, 1996) is a Korean American singer-songwriter and pianist. He rose to fame after participating in, and ultimately winning, the 14th season of America’s Got Talent.
In 2019, Lee auditioned for AGT, and within weeks his performance had over 50 million views on the internet. At the end of the season, he was declared the winner.
Lee was born with optic nerve hypoplasia, causing him to become legally blind. He was also diagnosed with autism at an early age, and has Addison’s disease. Lee is a prodigious musical savant, a person who manifests musical abilities that would be considered extraordinary, even in a person who is not autistic.
