(Denver, CO) – The Auditorium Music Business Conference 2023 will be held at the Buell Public Media Center at 2101 Arapahoe St, Denver, CO 80205, on Wednesday, February 1st, and Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, Bryánne Mitchell and Ontoneyo Gonzales, co-founders of Color Coded Music revealed today.

The Buell Public Media Center, which first opened in July 2020, is a 93,000-square-foot building that houses Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO JAZZ and THE DROP 104.7. The Auditorium is the newest music business conference in Colorado that brings musicians together with business owners in the independent music industry to learn new strategies and build valuable relationships.

In its inaugural year, The Auditorium 2023 partnered with The Drop 104.7, Faidr, Nerve DJs, The Southwest Alliance, Qoncert App, Respect the Underground, iKON Radio, Digital Currensy, the Ktone Cares Foundation, Big Top Entertainment, Genna Rae’s Wings & More, and Get Busy Livin Studios to produce an unforgettable event for attendees from all facets of the music industry.

Created by Color Coded Music, the music arm of Color Coded Media Group, The Auditorium attracts business owners of Colorado’s music industry (musicians/bands, publishers, radio stations, venue owners, consultants, media, and more) from across the Southwest.

Registration for attendees is open to the public and is completely based on donations in order to make the event accessible for all. Conference day 1 on February 1st will feature educational panel sessions, breakout sessions, and structured networking opportunities at the Buell Media Center. Conference day 2 on February 2nd will consist of an exclusive showcase of musical guests in partnership with The Southwest Alliance and Faidr. The Southwest Alliance is a Denver company that is a music industry collective of DJs, artists, culture creators, and tastemakers that collaborate to promote the hottest Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B records out of the Southwestern region of the United States. Faidr is a Boulder company that is reinventing audio listening experiences with a proprietary AI platform for streaming radio and innovative digital technologies for podcasts.

According to research by the University of Colorado Denver College of Arts & Media, before the pandemic, Colorado’s music industry earned a little more than $1.4 billion in revenue and created over 16,000 jobs. Musicians, Managers, and Agents brought in almost $500 million in revenue alone and represented 49% of overall employment in the Colorado music industry. Live Events brought in a little less than $500 million in revenue, as well, and created over 4,500 jobs which represented 29% of overall employment in the market. The Front Range region represented 90% of estimated revenue and 87% of employment for the state’s music industry.

This event aims to strengthen the infrastructure of the industry overall and educate the public about how the industry works in order to create more well-rounded workers that help rebuild the Colorado music economy as the national force it once was.
