John Macy has been producing, recording and playing steel guitar for over four decades, and brings this combined excellence to Coastal Bend Music which offers recording and production services with the finest musicians and studios in Texas, Nashville, Los Angeles and Colorado, as well as releasing records for our own artists.
John has been involved with the making of hundreds of records, world-wide touring and studio ownership for his entire career. He has been awarded Grammy, Gold and Platinum record awards with artists as diverse as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Gary Morris, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Los Lobos. Other notable artists John has worked with include Michael Martin Murphey, Richie Furay, Ricky Skaggs and many others.
