We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones or in whatever way you chose! Our apologies for not getting the newsletter out as my internet service was down for 10 full days and that sucked! We had a ton of articles ready to go for the November 23th issue including lots of information about the tragedy at the Taylor Swift concert in Brazil where a young woman died of, apparently, heat exhaustion. It is reported that temperatures reached 138 degrees F (not C). Kudos to Ms. Swift for recognizing the problem and passing out water – probably the only thing she could do under the circumstances, and for postponing a couple more concerts.

A reminder: Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, December 5th. Please consider giving a small donation to COMBO which is totally staffed by volunteers so your money goes for expenses and not to salaries to provide our services to YOU. If everyone on our mailing list donated just $5, we’d have enough to finance our organization for a full year!
.
COMBO member Laurie Dameron reminds us: SIMPLE ACTION OF THE MONTH – Raise your environmental awareness… Every time you buy something and every time you throw something away think about where is it coming from and where is it going.

The trial of Aurora EMTs Jeremy Cooper and Peter Cichuniec, who administered the Ketamine that allegedly killed Elijah McClain, started on November 17th with jury selection. It restarted Monday, November 27th. Elijah, a young violinist who was just walking down the street and who had committed no crime, died a few days later after being confronted by police.
