What a weekend! We spent 3 days at the Durango Songwriters Expo in Broomfield and wore ourselves out. But what a great time! I’ve added Dave Magoun’s comments below. He says it all. And then I (Barb) joined some COMBO members and more at the Music to Live workshop at the Roots Music Space in Boulder for lessons in how to build your brand. This was very interesting and we’d certainly recommend it again if you were not selected or able to attend this time. (Attendance was limited). The workshop was well planned and carried out.
.
Dave Magoun: I’m overwhelmed. Attending the Durango Songwriter’s Expo Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I met so many amazing people with so much talent, and heard so much diverse music, I’m just trying to absorb this incredible experience. I took some pics and recorded the panel discussions, attended listening sessions, as well as taking a lot of video of the performances. I can’t possibly post all of that, but they had a short final night performance that was a tribute to Dolly Parton that I will share for now (along with photos of the showcases, panels, listening sessions and some really cool people). Lots of photos:

Chris Reidy: I was able to cross a big one off my bucket list this week. I never thought I would ever be able to play at a House of Blues but last night Mr. Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival was lucky enough to grace their stage in Las Vegas. This was certainly a night to remember, and I feel so very lucky to have been able to play there with a very special group of people!
