We recently had an information booth at the Folks Fest in Lyons, Colorado (Thanks to the Planet Bluegrass organization!) It was kind of sad to meet so many people who didn’t know that COMBO existed, let alone to know that we were a non-profit that helps musicians with the business end of music – the only non-profit that we know of that holds regular meetings where music business professionals speak to help musicians find their footing and place in the music industry. If you have musical friends who don’t know about us, please let them know. The website is easy to remember – www.coloradomusic.org (The letters in COMBO spell it out, too!)

BREAKING NEWS: Arvada has denied the permit for the Arvada Harvest Festival on various grounds. The organizers of the festival are considering making it smaller and moving it to another location. More later.

Elvis is still very much with us.
49 years without Elvis Presley.
And yet, in another sense, not a single day without him.
We have the music. We have the movies. We have the memories.
And as long as someone presses play, the King walks into the room again.

Wishing a very happy birthday to Robert Plant, the guy the Rolling Stone readers voted as the best ever singer is quite the compliment. The golden god of rock who could out-wail a banshee was born on August 20, 1948.

It’s an account that works across Meta apps and devices, like Facebook, Instagram or AI glasses. This makes it easy to log in, control settings and keep your info secure.
