Please join us in welcoming Steve Pavey to the COMBO Board of Directors. We look forward to all the expertise in the business of music that Mr. Pavey has to offer us and our members. Thank you, Steve, for joining our board!
.
Sending a BIG THANKS to three of our Board Members who set up, ran the info booth for 3 full days in the 100+ degree heat, and loaded out at the Planet Bluegrass’ Folks Festival in Lyons this past weekend! What a fun venue with a river running through it and permanently built stages, vendors’ booths, and shelters for the 1,000s of visitors to the festival! We got to meet lots of musicians and music supporters while there and we want to welcome many of them to COMBO!
.
No COMBO General Meeting in August but plan on joining us on September 21st when our guest speaker will be none other than Gil Asakawa, formidable writer of interesting and informative music articles for so many media platforms.
.
MD Friedman: Bringing it back BIG time! That century-old, seldom recorded, almost forgotten, so entertaining and inspiring, unaccompanied harmonica & voice blues. Unbelievable! I am blown away checking the charts at Roots Music Reports today. “Too Many Women Blues” off of my new solo album, Hot Harmonica Hokum, is the hottest acoustic blues song in the world this week!
