Poster: Songwriter Round Night at Roxy on Broadway, Speakeasy downstairs, featuring COMBO’s own Steve Son! | What an inspiration! The Southwest Roots Music Summit was held at Swallow Hill Music last weekend and the speakers were so encouraging to the musicians attending. We want to thank the organizer Martin Gilmore of the Denver Chapter of the SW Regional Folk Alliance for putting the event together and for inviting COMBO to have an info booth there. We also want to thank Swallow Hill and David McDaniel for providing such a lovely venue for musicians to meet and network in. https://www.swfolkalliance.org/ Https://www.swallowhillmusic.org

From Laurie Dameron: HUGE apologies to those who went to The Old Mine in Erie in May! Their oven was broken so when we arrived we found out our show was canceled! Wish they would have called my cell!

Concert tour notes: Several notable musicians pulled out of the Freedom 250 Concert, set for June 25th through July 10th, at the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., citing various reasons including safety concerns and threats of bodily harm to the headliner and their bands and staff. This has turned into a major whoop-ti-do. Other notable musicians, like Ted Nugent, have offered to take their places.
