If you only get to read one more article this week, please read the one on the cause of devastating nightclub fires. We lost at least two of our Colorado loved ones in the Station Fire – Ty Longley, the guitarist for Great White and, eventually, Jack Russell, the lead singer. I’m pretty sure Jack’s later health problems were caused by the stress of the Station Fire and its aftermath. Great White was one of my favorite bands and I felt so badly that this event happened during their show. They had played at The Gardens in Colorado Springs only a couple of weeks before and pyros were set off then. Lots of black, disgusting smoke – but no flammable foam on the ceiling to start a fire.

The Colorado Guitar Show has been announced for Saturday, May 9th . We’ll have more info on it coming in a couple of weeks. But, in the meantime, mark the date on your calendar!
