Photo: Rachel Alena & husband Jason | We so appreciate the financial support that many of our members give us. Keeps our group up & running with a lot of expenses that we have in order to keep our website up and to send out the newsletter. If you haven’t paid your dues for awhile, would you please consider re-upping? You can sign up again as a “Supporter” for only $20. However, if you join or re-join as an “Individual Member”, you’ll get promotion for your shows, a free entry in our Songwriting Contest, and more “perks.” Band or Business memberships offer more “goodies.” So… please check your budget and help us out so we can continue to help you!
.
The good news and the bad: Board Member Nick Summers graduated from college with a degree in music! Congratulations, Nick. We wish you the best in your future! Now the bad news: Nick is moving to Nashville to continue his musical career. Nick recently worked as the sound guy at Odde’s so he’ll be looking for a sound engineering job in Nashville. If you know of someplace that can help him, please send a note to info@coloradomusic.org and we’ll pass it onto Nick.
.
Not only with losing Nick, it’s time for our Board members to be voted on again. Right now serving (and their offices) are Barb Dye (President); Dr. Annette Cannon (Vice-President); Tracey Chirhart (Secretary); David Barber (Treasurer); Todd Caron (Program Committee); members-at-large Christine Brady, Johnny Johnson, Kirsten Texler, Larry Thompson; and consultants Clark Hagan and Tony Molina (also Music Player). If you are interested in serving on the board, and can contribute a few of hours a month in service, please contact Barb at President@coloradomusic.org, and send a note as to why you would like to serve and any accomplishments you have in the music business.

Don’t forget! Registration for the Durango Songwriters Expo is now open! It will be held in BROOMFIELD at the Omni Interlocken Hotel & Resort October 2nd thru 4th. Get signed up now as it fills up quickly! Https://www.durango-songwriters-expo.com And get that hotel room, too, as there is some stupid football game event going on in Boulder that weekend!!! 😉

Dakota Ridge High School Marching Band is still looking for their stolen trailer. It’s a white 2007 S and H trailer, license plate 266-YFY, has damage to the right front bumper, and has a ton of DRHS stickers on it. Take a look around your neighborhood to see if you see it then let the Jefferson Country Sheriff’s Office know at 303-980-7300, case number 25-13395.

COMBO member Rachel Alena Leach and her husband Jason Leach just celebrated their 30th anniversary! Congratulations, Rachel & Jason!
