ANNOUNCEMENTS / CALENDAR
.
Our guest speaker for April 21st will be Seth Beamer, guitarist for bands like Wildermiss and Red Fox Run. He has played the Westword Music Showcase, Underground Music Showcase and KTCL’s Not So Silent Night to sold out crowds. We’ll send more info next week. Put it on your calendar now: Monday, April 21st, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom!
Only TEN more days until the Vintage Voltage Expo, Guitar Show, Toy & Dolls and more!!!
With the internet we are no longer isolated from our fellow musicians so we can more easily keep up on the “business” of music. That includes places to play, new music outlets, and what everyone is doing. The “good news” and the “bad news.” There is so much going on that I am not able to put everything COMBO wants you to know to help you navigate the tricky waters of a musical career! We’ve had to condense some articles and then there is the latest that we don’t have room to include this week. Like the sad news that renowned Jazz guitarist George Freeman passed on April 1st. We’ll try to include more about him next week.
.
The Tank wrote to let us know that they were able to reach their special appeal this week thanks to their many “small” donors and the additional help of the Western Colorado Community Foundation which helped them to go “over the top.” So now they want to invite you to their Tenth Annual Solstice Festival! Https://tanksounds.org in Rangely, CO.

COMBO is about the LOVE of Music and the musicians who create and play songs. We have a board of dedicated and knowledgeable musicians and supporters who play or produce music and music acts. We offer an exchange of information, guidance and advice to help musicians advance their careers no matter what field you’re in. Our articles and programs represent some phase of the music business that could affect musicians – all musicians – everywhere. Our motto in Colorado: Elevate Your Musical State!
