Board Member T-Loop sends a reminder that — if you are a dues-paying member of COMBO — he will upload your music to our website for extra promotion. Please send a note to info@coloradomusic.org letting him know and he will send you a form to fill out. Be sure you have an MP3 ready to go!
Just in case you didn’t notice, this is the season of giving so we’d appreciate you “giving” to COMBO — by joining our organization. Remember: You’ll get a free entry into the songwriting contest if you do! Go to our website at https://www.coloradomusic.org and fill out the “Join COMBO” form! Your dues go to help us with necessary expenses, and all board members are volunteers!
Taking a break from “business” but we still need comraderie and the company of other musicians and people who love music! Please join us on Saturday, December 14th at 5:30 p.m. at the Olive Garden on the northwest corner of Wadsworth & Alameda (on Alameda). Meals are “dutch treat”. Because it’s a restaurant, you can bring the family but it might be a good idea to leave the really young ones at home. We look forward to getting to see our members in person since most of our meetings the last 4 years have been via Zoom!
We’ll also tell you more about our upcoming Songwriting Contest, starting February 1st.
One of the few music magazines left in print form, Music Connection, will be sending us copies of their latest issue(s) for your enlightenment! We’ll be passing these out at our live events – the next one will be our holiday dinner at the Olive Garden. Of course, if you’d rather, you can subscribe to Music Connection on-line: https://www.musicconnection.com We want to thank J. Michael Dolan, founder of MC, Eric B., the current owner/publisher, and Hillorie McLarty, distribution, for helping us to get this very important magazine into the hands of our members!
