Congratulations to Mark H. Ham who won the drawing for the entry into the Durango Songwriters Expo! He will be able to attend and is very excited about the opportunity! See more under “Kudos”! While we pulled the winners for the video and the collector’s t-shirt, we have not heard back from them as to whether or not they would accept the prizes. If they do not want them, we will pull more names!

Reminder: If you are a current dues-paying member of COMBO, be sure to send us any “play dates” you have coming up. We’ll be glad to add them to the Calendar for you! And, as an aside, we are getting lots of show notices from NON-members! One of the benefits of being a dues-paying member is that we will list your shows in the calendar but we may also do a full-length article on them as well. Dues are only $30 for an individual and $55 for a while band! Big savings!

Here’s a good note from the American Music Society’s website: Buy your kid a Strat – not an AR15.

If you have changed your e-ddress within, or, say, the last 2-3 years, would you please send your new address to us? We are getting bounced e-mails galore. Maybe it’s our program – don’t know but we’d sure love to have your updated contact information!
.
As our music community ages, we are losing more and more of our esteemed and honored musicians. We’ve only added a few of the many bios but we hope that you will do some research on others, some of whom are listed in our “Other Notable Musicians Deaths” column.

COMBO is about the LOVE of Music and the musicians who create and play songs. We have a board of dedicated and knowledgeable musicians and supporters who play or produce music and music acts. We offer an exchange of information, guidance and advice to help musicians advance their careers no matter what field you’re in. Our articles and programs represent some phase of the music business that could affect musicians – all musicians – everywhere. Our motto in Colorado: Elevate Your Musical State!
