It’s “Hail and Farewell” to Rod Myers of CODA, Inc. Rod is retiring June 1st and he and his wife are off touring the country! Rod has been a GREAT friend of COMBO especially with helping us out with the Songwriting Contest these past 10 years or so in replicating CDs of the winners which we passed out to the pros at the Durango Songwriters Expo, to radio stations that played local music, and to many others interested in helping out songwriters. May the good Lord bless and keep you — and your family, Rod. Keep us in the loop and let us know how you are doing. He also passed along his “Thanks” to his many customers through the years, especially those who stuck by him during the lean times!

Studies have shown that people who have “FOMO” – Fear of Missing Out – are traveling more and longer distances to attend concerts, especially by plane and those of artists they may not get a chance to see again, i.e., the Rolling Stones. CBS Mornings – Channel 4. (I paid a ridiculous amount of money to see The Eagles a few years back in Vegas and am so glad I did because Glenn Frey passed away only a few months later. If I had not gone then, I would have totally missed out on one of the greatest bands ever).

One of America’s most beloved Sweethearts and musicians, Dolly Parton, has revealed that she is taking time off from her businesses to care for her husband Carl Dean who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. This is a big problem in America and we can sincerely say that we are standing beside anyone who must care for any person with such an illness. Let’s pray that the scientists can find a cure for all types of dementia soon.
