This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week and I would seriously be in trouble if I didn’t honor COMBO’s AMAZING Volunteer Board! The sad, sad, sad story of Elijah McClain’s death has been resolved but not happily. Jeremy Cooper, a former Aurora Fire Rescue paramedic, was convicted of criminally negligent homicide. He was the last of first responders to be sentenced for their roles in McClain’s death. He was sentenced to 4 years of probation.
