Our sincerest APOLOGIES to COMBO member band Good Trouble, Colorado Sound Studios, and the Denver Concert Band for missing their special events. Our fiber optic internet services went down for four full days before a tech came out and figured out the problem. I decided to go ahead and publish last week’s newsletter late. || What a terrific program last Monday! Guest speakers Chris “Tree” Williams of Open Stage Denver and Jason “Jay” Abbott of A Stage For You passed on lots of good, solid information on how to make your summer shows so much better – and winter shows, too! They made a point of saying that they “were hired by you (or a promoter) to make YOU sound your best” so open your mind and listen to what they say. It may mean the difference between “life” and “death” for your act!
.
And speaking of – if you are a dues-paying member of COMBO, you have “privileges” including being able to access videos of our previous programs from speakers like Chuck Morris (AEG Presents), Kenny Passarelli (bassist for Loggins & Messina), Bob Webber (writer of Green Eyed Lady with Sugarloaf), VinylMePlease and 303 Magazine/Records, Rachel Alena on How to Get a Career Doing Voice-overs, and many, many more. They all have offered some great advice to help you in your musical career! https://303magazine.com/303-music/
