Our best “get well” wishes go to COMBO’s former Board Member Doug Garvey, Pueblo, who is recovering from a serious case of COVID. He spent 52 days in the hospital and was on a respirator for several weeks. Doug has had a bad year. His wife Nancy passed shortly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, his house caught on fire, and then the COVID diagnosis. Let’s pray his 2022 will be a much better year for him and his family.

Sometimes music is the only thing that gets us through the really hard times. And sometimes those hard times are what gives songwriters the best ideas for songs. So take those lemons and make the best lemonade and hope that we all stay well and that COVID finally goes away. Please – wear those masks whenever possible and get your shots. Protect your fellow musicians! Stop being self-centered.
