By Aldin Vaziri, San Francisco Chronicle | Americana singer-songwriter Todd Snider has canceled his national tour after what his representatives described as a “violent assault” outside his Salt Lake City hotel over the weekend. Snider, 59, had just started a 14-date run in support of his latest album, “High, Lonesome and Then Some,” when the incident occurred, following his opening show in Colorado.
In a statement posted Monday, Nov. 3, to his social media accounts, Snider’s team said the musician suffered “severe injuries” and will be unable to perform “for an undetermined amount of time.”
“We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates,” the statement from Snider’s management company, Aimless Inc., read. “Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel. Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes.”
