The Third Mind delivered a second excursion into 60s psychedelia; group members are Dave Alvin (the Blasters), Victor Krummenacher (Cracker, Monks of Doom), David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson), and Jesse Sykes. Who but the King of Villains should release a Halloween EP? Singer-songwriter Luke Beling’s debut showcases mature songwriting. The normally mild-mannered folk/Americana duo Strangebyrds stretched their rock wings on a personal album about life, love and perseverance.
