Producer/engineer Dave Sinko sent over the new album by the Jacob Jolliff Band, a must-hear for progressive newgrass lovers. Bay-area guitarist Scott Nygaard, who I first encountered nearly 30 years ago when he was a member of Tim O’Brien’s O’Boys, has a jazz trio record that’s pretty mind-blowing.

Producer/engineer Bob Stark helmed Christopher James’ newest, a challenging collection of jazz/classical fusion pieces featuring, among other luminaries, John Patitucci, Antonio Sanchez and arranger Gil Goldstein.

Buffalo Commons, a Colorado jamgrass band, recorded at Swingfingers with Aaron Youngberg and producer Tyler Grant.

The Desert Furs are a jamband from northern Colorado, and this self-titled release rocks!

Fruition drummer Tyler Thompson engineered NJ-based Widely Grown’s debut album.

Rebel Records has re-released Tony Rice’s very first album on LP, remastered from the original analog masters using Plangent Processes. The album includes some of Tony’s signature performances including “Freeborn Man,” “John Hardy,” and “Nine Pound Hammer.”
