Photo: On The Dot | COMBO Business Member Airshow Mastering writes: Lots of tasty releases this month, from across the country and across the Atlantic: Jim Lauderdale, the songwriters’ songwriter, teams up with the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys and Del McCoury for some hard-driving bluegrass. The Grateful Dead continue their 50th anniversary releases with “Wake Of the Flood”, the first album on the independent label Grateful Dead Records. It includes some cool bonus tracks. Henhouse Prowlers release a great collection of songs. Guitar master and long-time client Sean McGowan drops an album of solo guitar performances that reach back into the Great American Songbook. From Chris Lee of Portland, OR, a gorgeous jazz quintet recording. Bertolf Lentink from Holland enlisted a who’s who of Nashville players (Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Wes Corbett, Mark Schatz) for his album recorded at Sound Emporium. From Alyssa and Wayne Brewer, a fun tribute to George Jones and Tammy Wynette. C. Daniel Boling recorded a collection of songs in Santa Fe, co-written with Tom Paxton. John Lowell from Montana sent a trio recording of acoustic songs. And finally, On The Dot, a young band from Boulder, rocks out on their debut album.

Aside note: Rebecca Folsom’s album “Sanctuary’s” title track won Best Music Video from the Wine, Women and Film Festival in Los Angeles. Well done! Produced by Tom Wasinger and Shaun Martin, and featuring the Saul Gates Chorale.
