COMBO – The Colorado Music Business Organization

Events|

Hope you had a really fun and safe Halloween! We’re looking forward to the holidays – whichever ones you celebrate. We note that Colorado Gives Day is set for December 8th. Please consider giving to COMBO or re-upping your membership. Also, we’re looking for Volunteer help – either as a COMBO Board Member or someone with computer program knowledge – like we are open to disabled, handicapped people, retirees, or students interested in the Music Business who can help out – at home, on your own time. We, in particular, need help with posting to social media sites like Facebook, X (f/k/a Twitter) and InstaGram. If you can spend an hour or so a week helping, send a note to Barb at president@coloradomusic.org
.
Freudian slip: Last week I mentioned the “Sun Studios” in Colorado Springs (shades of Elvis & Sam Phillips – https://www.sunstudio.com – worth a tour if you’re ever in Memphis). Should have been “Sunshine Studios.” Super nice venue. Lots going on there – check them out at https://www.sunshinestudioslive.com
.
COMBO Board Member T-Loop asks that you send him your songs if you want them on our Spotify Playlist. Please email him at tlooplooperlive@gmail.com for more info or to send your song, or at the Spotify Artist music link.

TLoop sent the following URLs to check out! These tracks include winners of our Contests!

Concert tour notes: Triumph cancels come-back tour due to “unexpected medical reasons;” Tom Jones (86) postpones concert on doctors’ orders; Billy Joel can no longer drive or perform; Deep Purple have been forced to postpone their next two shows due to an unspecified medical emergency involving singer Ian Gillan.

To join COMBO, go to our website at https://www.coloradomusic.org and hit the “Join COMBO” button. If you’d prefer to not use a credit card, you may send a check for the proper amount to COMBO, PO Box 18186, Denver CO 80218 instead. (Actually this helps us out even more as we don’t have to pay fees to Paypal!)
.
COMBO is about the LOVE of Music and the musicians who create and play songs. We do our best to educate and offer an exchange of information, guidance and advice to help musicians advance their careers. Our articles and programs represent some phase of the music business that could affect musicians – all musicians, all genres – everywhere.
