COMBO – The Colorado Music Business Organization

Thoughts and Prayers|

Friends, extended family: In July I came to Colorado to play a 4th of July gig. A couple days later I was in emergency surgery where they removed 3 feet of blood clots from my left leg & left abdomen area. Evidently clots are not uncommon in drummers (Travis Barker, Zack Starky) or anyone that sits while doing physical activity. My inflammation was believed from playing 4 hour gigs plus the travel/elevation change. During evaluations they discovered a tumor on a kidney & a possible nodule in my abdomen. After a few long days in the hospital, I’ve recovered from the surgery feeling 100%, worked production & played gigs August thru October at full strength.

On top of all that, my new to me truck broke down twice (C’mon! It’s a Toyota!! Ooof!!!)
I wouldn’t be alive without the help from family & friends (Mark, T , Jay & Chris). Huge thanks to my old contractors for putting me to work (Allen, Steve & their co workers) & all the friends in music I’ve recorded for &/or performed with lately. Special thanks to those who have lent me their ear.

Unfortunately I’m due in a few weeks, months for another surgery that will dictate how serious my conditions are & what recovery will look like.

I’m still based in Nashville but will be staying in Denver til my health is cleared while still making trips for gigs/work.

Some friends & I are working on a special show I hope to announce & perform publicly live, also w/ streaming before my next procedure. Details to come.

Until then, positive energy, practice, gigs & time with loved ones.

I’m really lucky to still be alive.
