The footage begins with the boy’s emotional reaction to receiving the instrument several years earlier, before revealing him performing onstage during his senior year at the very school he had hoped to attend.
The touching post with the moment recently gained praise on Instagram, garnering more than 5.4 million views in the last two days.

White also hosts the Solid Saturday podcast, which focuses on prayer and inspiration, and frequently shares clips from her public speaking engagements alongside glimpses into her everyday life.
Her posts also regularly feature her son, Jacoby, a young musician whose passion for music has become an important part of the family’s story.
In the video, White revisits a moment from several years earlier when Jacoby was preparing to audition for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, his dream music school, but lacked the upright bass he needed.
Determined to support his ambitions, she purchased the instrument and surprised him with it, capturing his excited reaction as he promised to spend countless hours practicing.
The video then jumps forward to Jacoby’s senior year, showing him performing with the same instrument at a school concert.
