STAND TOGETHER DENVER HONORS UNSUNG HERO
The event marks the long-awaited comeback of the legendary Hippie Werewolves, a band that elevated the Denver music scene to new levels of excellence and unity in its late 90s heyday.
The evening will also mark the return of Nasty’s Nightmare, fronted by Gregg Stone, the preeminent voice of Denver rock radio for the last three decades.
King Rat will open the event, while the infamous frontman of Grind Cat Grind and Dogs of Pleasure, Chris Chamberlayne, will MC.
Stand Together Denver, a celebration of the local music community, is a benefit for Kathy Taylor, a lifelong supporter of independent artists, local musicians, and the underground scene at large.
For decades, Kathy has listened to, housed, fed, cared about, and believed in artists like the Mother Theresa of Denver music. She has supported the wayward, the fledgling, the aspiring, and the succeeding like the matriarch many of us never had. Her dedication to the music community has been selfless, enduring, and without expectation of recognition.
Regardless, like many others, Kathy faces the difficulty of rising property taxes brought on by urban development and wholesale corporate takeover.
Hippie Werewolves, Nasty’s Nightmare, and King Rat recognize that Kathy deserves an outpouring of reciprocal love so that she can keep her home.
Stand Together Denver invites you to celebrate local music and the unsung role that Kathy plays, and many like her, in the lives of people who live for music and love to rock.
