He won in the outstanding variety special (live) category. “The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny” landed a total of nine nominations, making it the most-nominated Super Bowl halftime show in Emmys history. It was nominated for outstanding variety special (live), production design, choreography, technical direction and camerawork, directing, hairstyling and lighting design/lighting direction, all for the variety special races.
Bad Bunny and the event’s producers and directors pulled off what may have been the most intricate halftime extravaganza in Super Bowl history. Superstar guests included Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, a real-life wedding and authentic business owners (including Los Angeles’ own Villa’s Tacos) among the set.
Speaking about the performance, creative director Harriet Cuddeford previously told Variety, “The performance is celebrating normal people, and what it is to be human and love and have joy, and really appreciate one another. This was to show how much he values his community, to celebrate normal people on the world’s biggest stage, especially people who are of importance in Latino culture. He’s a very authentic person, Benito, and it’s about just being authentic and very real and very human.”

Bad Bunny ‘Super Bowl Halftime Show,’ ‘Muppets’ and ‘Traitors’ Win Night 1 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Bad Bunny’s “Super Bowl Halftime Show” and “The Traitors” dominated night one of the Creative Arts Emmys with seven and six wins, respectively.
Comedian Wanda Sykes provided opening remarks. “Television isn’t made by a handful of people. It’s made by thousands of talented people solving impossible problems together to create something great,” she said. “So, the more excellence there is to recognize, the more time we should spend celebrating it.”
The first Emmy of the evening went to late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who won for game show host (“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”). Kimmel, who won last year, thanked the seat fillers. He joked, “Mostly I really want to thank whoever decided to put our category first because we won last year, and it was nothing but seat fillers. So, thank you very much, and thanks to the seat fillers for sticking it out.”
“The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny” picked up seven Emmys, including a win for the singer himself. It won for outstanding choreography for variety or reality programming (Charm La’Donna, Karina Ortiz), outstanding production design for a variety special Bruce Rodgers), outstanding music direction (Miguel Gandelman) and outstanding variety special (live).
