Sad news: Colorado Blues Society President Mark Schleiger and The Board announce that they have decided to cancel their IBC Blues Challenge this year. Due to declining interest, they will not send a band or solo/duo act to the IBC in Memphis in Jan. 2027. Next year the program will be revamped, starting the Challenge earlier in the year, giving artists longer to raise money and prepare a great show. Gary made an initial up-front fee of just $150, but ultimately earned multiple millions of dollars over the decades from continuous backend performance royalties. [The show lasted 11 years and plays on classic stations all over the world yet.] [Gary performed the song; he co-wrote it with Judy Hart Angelo.] [Publishing rights went to the Charles Brothers Production Company who commissioned the song.]
