By Vanessa Serna, PageSix | Hall & Oates rocker Daryl Hall revealed he underwent kidney surgery and is in recovery. “I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor,” the vocalist, 79, wrote via Instagram Tuesday.

“It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success!”

Hall shared that he “should be back to normal in a few months,” and expects to return to the stage for “more music” and shows.

The musician revealed he was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2006 after suffering from a tick bite six years prior.

Hall and his former bandmate, John Oates, formed Hall & Oates in 1967 and released their number-one single on the Billboard 100, “Rich Girl,” in 1976.

A few additional of their chart-topping hits include “Kiss on My List” (1981), “Private Eyes” (1981), “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” (1981), “Maneater” (1982) and “Out of Touch” (1984).

The duo, however, hit a roadblock in 2023 after Hall requested a restraining order and filed a lawsuit against Oates over “the ground rules of who can sing what as a solo artist, along with money issues.”
