Time for outdoor concerts! Lots of real musicians playing house concerts, fairs, festivals, and at venues with outside facilities – and that doesn’t count bands at Red Rocks, Fiddler’s Green, and at the new facilities in Centennial, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins (Mishiwaka, anyone?), Grand Junction and others. Please support your live musicians – AI will never be able to do that – unless you really love watching holograms perform.

Our Songwriting Contest ends THIS SUNDAY, May 31st, at 11:59 p.m. Please send your song, preferably in an MP3 format directly to info@coloradomusic.org. Go ahead and pay the fee and fill out the info form on the website but send the song directly to us, not thru the website. Thank you for your patience!

On Facebook: Colorado Musicians – Collin Finnegan: Hello, I am a drummer who recently moved to CO Springs from the Denver area, looking to get connected in the music community here and eventually play some open mics and gigs in the near future. I play many styles, mostly rock, blues, funk and alternative. Some of my big influences include Led Zeppelin, ZZ Topp, Stone Temple Pilots, Black Sabbath, Bad Company, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc. but also enjoy some Latin and jazzy grooves as well. If you are looking for a drummer, let’s connect and see if it’s a fit. https://www.facebook.com/groups/200226219988088

Horrible use of AI: A daycare center’s service dog was taken from its yard. People have been sending AI photos & videos of the “dog,” saying they have it in an effort to collect the reward. How cruel. Cruel to the children who NEED the dog’s unconditional love. Cruel to the handler who loves and cares for the dog. Bad enough someone has the real, live dog and is not returning him but the AI adds salt to the wound.

Concert tour notes: Drowning Pool cancels South American tour. And unfortunately, several other bands have had to cancel their tours due to low ticket sales, among other reasons. Could this be due to the astronomically high ticket prices – even for the “nose-bleed” seats?
