COMBO – The Colorado Music Business Organization

Events|

Great crowd at the Colorado Guitar and Luthiers Show last Saturday at the Legacy Campus in Lone Tree. Good to see so many vendors and “old” friends again. Big SHOUT OUT to Gordon Close for helping us to load in and to Jamie Krutz and a friend for so much help! Gordon will be opening a new store off Hampden and Federal soon and he promised to send me a “press release” when he was ready for business! Thanks also to Duane Evarts for putting this event on. He, too, works so hard to get it organized!
.
We want to thank everyone who re-upped their memberships in COMBO. We missed an absolute crises because of you! So thank you so very much!!!
.
We’re had trouble with an old form popping up when songwriters were trying to enter our contest. Please send your song, preferably in an MP3 format directly to info@coloradomusic.org. Go ahead and pay the fee and fill out the info form but send the song directly to us, not thru the website. We think we got a “technical difficulty” fixed so “Thank you” for your patience!!!

On Colorado Musicians, TrustworthyEagle1900: Anyone into any prog rock? Or like a simpler version of that? I’m talking modern rock, not YES or Floyd. Would be open to starting something. I consider myself a composer that works vox, guitar, bass, and I have 16 years of production experience. 21 years of musical experience. I’m 32. LoL! Would prefer people 25-35, if anyone’s up to give it a shot. I can write towards rock, punk, metal, if we need to go a specific direction. Would be cool. || I sent him Colorado Art Rock Society’s website. Check it out if you’re into prog rock! https://www.coloradoprog.com

While not “music related,” many of our musicians are animal lovers! Add this to your list of things to do: The Wild Animal Sanctuary – A Meaningful Visit Near Denver | Just 40 miles northeast of Denver, The Wild Animal Sanctuary offers a rare chance to see rescued lions, tigers, bears and other wildlife living in wide-open, natural habitats. It’s not a zoo or a typical attraction, it’s a quieter, more intentional experience centered on animal wellbeing. https://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org

Go to our website at https://www.coloradomusic.org and hit the “Join COMBO” button. If you’d prefer to not use a credit card, you may send a check for the proper amount to COMBO, PO Box 18186, Denver CO 80218 instead. (Actually this helps us out even more as we don’t have to pay fees to Paypal!)
.
COMBO is about the LOVE of Music and the musicians who create and play songs. We do our best to educate and offer an exchange of information, guidance and advice to help musicians advance their careers. Our articles and programs represent some phase of the music business that could affect musicians – all musicians, all genres – everywhere.
