By Tom Parfitt, SEO Editor, Yahoo UK, Yahoo Entertainment | Spotify is celebrating a big milestone — and music lovers can enjoy a new feature to mark the occasion. Your Party of the Year(s) lets users revisit their first-ever stream, top artists and most-played songs across their entire listening history.
The streaming service, which turned 20 last month, has launched a personalized look back at users’ most-streamed songs and artists from their time on Spotify.
The time capsule-like feature — titled Your Party of the Year(s) — is similar to Spotify Wrapped, the app’s popular end-of-year round-up of fans’ listening habits. You’ve probably already seen people posting their results on social media — in the form of colorful, Wrapped-style infographics.
Are you ready to revisit your own music tastes through the years? Here’s all you need to know about the new feature.
What is Spotify’s Your Party of the Year(s)?
Spotify’s Your Party of the Year(s) is a new feature that lets you view your entire music history. It reveals four key pieces of data: your most-played artists, the total number of songs you’ve listened to, the first track you ever streamed and the date you joined the platform.
It also generates a playlist of your 120 most-streamed songs, along with each track’s play count.
Fans have already been sharing their results on social media — with some showing off their listening tastes and others reminiscing about their changing habits.
