COMBO – The Colorado Music Business Organization

Songwriter's Corner|

Only FIVE more weeks to enter your song in our Annual Songwriting Contest! The information form to enter is up on our website now, https://www.coloradomusic.org, click on the tab at the upper right-hand side of the page and it will take you to the Songwriting Contest entry info. We look forward to your entries. Then send your MP3 to info@coloradomusic.org and one of our administrators will upload it to the Judges’ page for you! Be sure to include your name, phone number, e-mail address, and song title.

BIG NEWS! Vinyl Me Please is going to co-sponsor our contest! We’ll have more news in this regard soon. You will absolutely LOVE it! Https://www.vinylmeplease.com

COMBO Board members T-Loop and Larry Thompson are administering the contest this year. After the contest is completed, T-Loop will post your song(s) on the COMBO Spotify Playlist which we know is monitored by several publishers and music supervisors!

We want to sincerely thank Saam Golgoon of World Music Development and Indie Music Alliance for his help in getting the songwriting contest entry info posted to the website!

If you have joined COMBO within the last year, you’ll get one free song entry with your individual membership, or two if you joined as a band. If you are not sure of when you last joined, send an e-mail to Info@coloradomusic.org and one of our administrators will look it up for you.

Also new this year: If you enter the contest, you can count the date and time of your entry as proof of “copyright!” (This does not mean your song has been “registered for copyright.” You still have to do that).

We have gone back to a scoring system and we’re also hoping to offer real prizes for the highest-scoring songwriters, as well as having our annual Songwriters Showcase later this year!
