Someone asked about the birds: I have them [in] tiny travel cages. The room their cages were in was the first burnt part of the house.
The explosion reminded me of a 300 mag, I felt the heat through the walls while collecting my birds in a towel to protect their lungs; the dogs in their kennels and my family safe away from the house. My mind is still swimming with every thought, every fear, every possible outcome; just trying to map out check points and plot a course to rebuild and regroup. I will post soon to ask for help. I’M SO SORRY, FB FAM. I hate asking for help — that’s why I rarely do. I just hope that if my family needs help, there’s maybe a few people that are in a position to be able to. I got home from work just in time to hear my neighbor’s house explode. Our house is currently burning and the fire department just arrived. Everyone is safe – we got out but we lost everything. My dream of living in Florida has become my nightmare. I’m shattered
