We’re about to share a musical moment we’ve been dreaming up for a while. For the first time, Cass Clayton Band is teaming up for a double-bill show with country artist Buckstein — and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ve wanted to create a night that brings something fresh, unexpected, and musically diverse to the stage… and it’s happening — funk, soul, rock, and country — all in one night!

If you haven’t experienced Buckstein yet, you’re in for something special. His rich bass-baritone voice is gorgeous, and his songwriting centers around timeless ideals: honesty, integrity, courage, and caring for others. We share some kindred spirit vibes, yet with contrasting sounds and totally different grooves.

And the band for this one is stacked. Cass Clayton Band will feature:
Caton Sollenberger (The Jauntee) on guitar
Tom Amend (multi-instrumentalist and composer) on keys
Eric Imbrosciano (Lit Society and CCB) on drums
Wyatt Walker Wear (funk, hip-hop, R&B, jazz bass)

It’s gonna be an electric night at Nissi’s, one of our favorite venues — incredible sound, delicious food, craft cocktails, and the right vibe for a night like this. We can’t wait to see you and get down with Buckstein!

Cass Clayton Band
Cass Clayton Band is a 6-piece, female-fronted band blending influences of funk, soul, rock and contemporary influences. Cass and co-writer/producer, Taylor Scott, have been praised for their modern approach to songwriting, and they aim to continually innovate and provide unexpected twists for the audience. No two shows are ever the same, with the band effortlessly moving from funk, to rock to R&B, building the energy and dynamics. Their tight chemistry and high-energy stage presence has led to their evolution into one of the top female-led bands in the state.

Buckstein: Colorado grown — born and raised at 5280.

“I don’t like country music but I like you.”

Maybe it’s that “no-fear-of-the-edge” mentality that hooks the non-country-lovin’ folk… but no doubt the 6’4” bass-baritone powerhouse melts, molds, and moves you the way only a man of country music can.

The most common question a singer will be asked is, “When did you start singing?” Buckstein’s answer: “When I found out that the chicks dig it.” Sounds like a punchline but it’s the truth.

He was 13, at summer camp, trying to figure out how to meet girls like everyone else. A couple of girls were singing “Amazing Grace” and he shyly scooted up next to them and started singing along. “When they found out I could sing they immediately introduced me to all the other girls in the camp,” he chuckles. “I’ve been singing ever since.”
