Crelli, who goes by @frozenfiddlerose on Threads, shared a photo of herself on the field taken shortly after the performance, dressed in stage attire and holding her violin. She wrote that she was “crying” as she reflected on her journey from being an orphan in China to being adopted into a family in rural Alaska, eventually finding success in music.
Viewers have taken to the comment section to call the violinist an inspiration. The post has resonated with Threads users who responded to Crelli’s story of adversity, adoption and opportunity connected to one of the most-watched entertainment stages in U.S. sports.
Crelli’s viral message, posted February 8, featured an image from the field with the caption: “I just performed in the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Bad Bunny. Y’all, I went from being an orphan in China, to being adopted to my family in Alaska and living without running water, electricity and internet, to now performing for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. I’m crying.”
