This new series launched by Marty Jones and Baggs Patrick takes place the second and third Tuesday of each month in the Roxy on Broadway’s intimate basement “Speakeasy Lounge.” It showcases the area’s top songwriters performing in solo fashion for listening audiences.
The Jan. 20 show featured songs by host Baggs Patrick, along with Marty Jones and special guests John Nathan (a Colorado Country Songwriter of the Year winner) and Nolen Ramminger, an up & coming performer who has played Swallow Hill, Globe Hall and other local spots.
Admission is free, though a contribution to the tip jar is appreciated. Dinner is available prior to the show in the Roxy’s main floor bar and dining room. This is a “listening room” show, so talking during performances is discouraged. Baggs and Marty are trying to fill a longstanding need for songwriter-focused shows in D-Town and can use your support.
