By Evan Kruegel, KUSA-TV, Channel 9, Denver | Video Story: A recent police escort from Denver International Airport to downtown for a late-arriving British DJ is drawing scrutiny from city leaders, who want to know whether Denver Police Department policies were followed and who authorized the ride.
That video, posted to artist Gorgon City’s Instagram page, appears to show Denver Police officers picking up one member of the group at the airport after their flight landed late, and transporting them with lights activated down Interstate 70.
Denver City Councilmember Stacie Gilmore, who represents the district containing the airport, said the incident raises questions about decision-making and accountability.
