By Mona Khalifeh, Parade | Mötley Crüe and Dolly Parton have just achieved cross-genre success. After teaming up on the rock group’s iconic 1985 hit, “Home Sweet Home,” in June, Mötley Crüe and Parton, 79, have soared to No. 1 on the Mediabase Classic Rock Songs chart.
The reimagined track celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original song from Mötley Crüe’s Theatre Of Pain album, and marks the first time the track has topped the charts.
Beyond the milestone, the collaboration carries a powerful message, with a portion of proceeds from the single supporting Covenant House, an organization dedicated to providing shelter, meals, and hope to youth experiencing homelessness.
Mötley Crüe spoke about working with Parton in a joint statement shared following the song’s release on June 20.
